FAQs

Are you taking new clients?

I am a boutique studio and only have limited space for clients. I take a small group of clients and then close my books. This allows me to give my clients the best possible experience in my studio.

Private 1-on-1 (30 or 50 minute sessions) or Duets are  available by appointment. Reach out if you are interested and I'll try to find you a spot. All clients must complete a 50 minute initial assessment first.

I may have space for one client wanting a daytime Trio session (as at February 2025). However, there are no evening spaces and I am not taking any new clients for a waitlist for evening sessions at this time). Please get in contact if you are interested.

How do I get started?

New clients start with the Wellspring Starter Pack. This included a 50 minute 1-on-1 initial assessment, 3 x 30 minute Express Private sessions, a pair of Moveactive grip socks to wear in the studio and a personalised program curated unique to what your body needs.

These sessions allow me to work with you and get a good understanding of how you move, what your goals are and allows you, as a new client to the studio, to get familiar with the equipment and how a session runs.

What are your Group Trio classes?

Pilates Group Trio classes (max 3 clients) are run:

Monday 8.30am, 9.30am, 10.30am,11.30am and 5.00pm and 6.00pm

Tuesday 10.30am

Wednesday 5.00pm and 6.00pm

Thursday 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30am

Friday 8.30am, 9.30am and 10.30am

There are a variety of times available to book online for Private 1-on-1s or the initial assessment. If the times don't suit, no issues, just pop me an email and we can find a time that works.

What do I bring to  class?

A water bottle, non-slip grip socks and wear clothes you can move in. Grip socks (Move Active brand) are for sale in the Studio for $15.95 if you don't have any! Grip socks must be worn for safety reasons.

What equipment will I use in a class?

You will use the Reformer, a Wunda Chair, a Trapeze Table and small apparatus for mat-based exercises. The equipment is top of the range Balanced Body, made in the United States and a dream to work out with!

What pack should I buy?

See Plans and Pricing for options. You might want to start with some Private 1-on-1s if you are brand new to Pilates or prefer to workout alone. You can also mix up your sessions with Trios as well as Express Private 30 minute classes. Have a chat to me in the studio and we can find what works best for you.

How often should I do Pilates?

This is a complicated question and will depend on many factors including your health, budget, available time, if you have any injuries, working towards a particular goal, what other exercise you do... just to name a few.

If you are new to Pilates or trying to improve strength/mobility faster, I suggest 2 sessions a week. This will help you get into a new routine and see results. Mostly I am focused on my clients being consistent. Once a week is perfectly fine for a Pilates session as part of your exercise routine - just keep turning up and you will see positive results.

If you need help being accountable and consistent then check out our Memberships. This is a 12 week commitment with either 1 or 2 sessions per week with a weekly deduction. No long term fixed contracts, it's about setting you up for success and spreading the cost of your sessions in weekly payments instead of upfront.

What are your payment terms?

Classes should be booked online using this Fit by Wix app.

Having trouble booking online? Just ask, I am happy to help.

Please note, all packages are non-transferrable and non-refundable. There are some exceptions to this (eg injury with medical certificate) so if in doubt, just asked in studio and we can work something out.

What can I expect at an Initial Consultation?

This is a 1-on-1 session where we discuss any health/medical issues, what you want to achieve out of Pilates and then assess how you move. It's not a pass/fail test! It's about finding the right exercises to help you move better, gain strength and mobility. This way I can target a program to your specific needs.

What are your cancellation terms?

This is a small business. I kindly ask that you cancel more than 24 hours before your class so you don't forfeit your booking. This is not to punish you - I am a small business that wants to stay open! I appreciate your support with my cancellation policy.

You can reschedule or cancel your session via the Fit by Wix app. If you need help - just ask!

What if the time for an initial assessment doesn't suit me?

Pop me an email at hello@wellspringpilates.com.au or use the "Contact Us" form on the website and I will find a time that works for everyone!

I am seeing a health care professional, can I still come to Pilates?

Yes! I am already working with physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths, Occupational Therapists, and a GP for my current clients. If you have been told by a medical professional not to exercise due to injury, pregnancy complications or other reasons, I do ask that you wait until you have medical clearance to exercise again.
